India’s 77th Independence Day, Emirati leaders wishes

As Indians around the world celebrate the country’s 77th Independence Day today (August 15), UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a Happy Independence Day message to Indian President Draupadi Murmu.

Similarly, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister of the Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted his Independence Day greetings to India and its people.

In a social media post, His Highness Sheikh Muhammad said, “As India celebrates its 77th Independence Day, I extend my best wishes to the leadership and the people of this nation. On this auspicious occasion, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to building a future of shared prosperity and growth, to take our federation to new heights and to explore new frontiers, political, economic and so on. Happy Independence Day!” He said.

Also, Vice President Sheikh Mansoor Bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Court also sent similar congratulatory messages to Indian President Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In Dubai, colorful cultural programs were organized for hundreds of people who lined up outside the Indian Embassy at 6.30 am. Ramkumar Thangaraj, India’s Acting Deputy Consul General for Dubai and the Northern Emirate, along with Dubai Police and Indian community leaders, hoisted the flag.

Meanwhile, flag hoisting ceremony has been held in various places of the emirate. Apart from that, it is also noteworthy that Indian residents across the UAE are celebrating Independence Day with joy.
