Dubai AMAF Funds Umrah Pilgrimage for 80 Low-Income Residents

Dubai: Dubai Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) has taken over the cost of Umrah pilgrimage for 80 people with limited income as part of its philanthropic and humanitarian goals.

Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that Dubai Auqaf Dar Al Ber Society has been granted AED 100,000 to support the ‘Umrah of a Lifetime’ initiative that the society has been organizing for several years.

During the seven-day journey, he performs rituals and visits holy places in Mekkah and Medinah, Saudi Arabia.

The Dar Al Ber Society covered the accommodation of the beneficiaries in hotels in Makkah and Madinah, visa, Umrah ceremonies and expenses for visiting the holy places.

Omar Juma Al Mazmi, director of the endowment department at the foundation, said that this initiative aims to provide financial assistance to the needy and those with limited income who are unable to perform Umrah due to financial constraints.

Dr Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, said that this philanthropic and joint humanitarian initiative demonstrates the strategic partnership between the Society and the Foundation, promoting community solidarity in the emirates, supporting the poor, meeting needs and improving state policies.
