Dubai Police March for Integration of Visually Impaired Individuals
Event Commemorates International White Cane Day

In honor of International White Cane Day, Dubai Police organized an awareness march at Dubai Mall to promote the inclusion of visually impaired individuals in society. The white cane serves as a symbol of independence and a crucial tool for safe navigation for those who are blind or visually impaired.
The event, attended by over 70 community members and officials, aimed to convey essential guidelines for interacting with the blind and facilitating their movement in public spaces. Additionally, the march underscored Dubai Police’s commitment to fostering values of tolerance, unity, and social cohesion within the community.
Fatima Bouhajir, general coordinator of the Positive Spirit Initiative and member of Dubai Police’s Council for Empowering People of Determination, emphasized the importance of the event in strengthening social awareness.
