Dubai International Airport Expects 85 Million Passengers by End of 2023, says Dubai Customs
Dubai International Airport recorded 41.6 million passengers in the first half of the year, and authorities expect this number to rise to 85 million by the end of 2023, according to Dubai Customs. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs, highlighted the importance of preparing to receive tourists and travelers during peak seasons, including events like the Dubai Shopping Festival. Khaled Ahmed, Acting Director of Passenger Operations Department at Dubai Customs, emphasized their commitment to providing efficient customs services, enabled by advanced luggage inspection systems. Khalifa bin Shahin, Director of Terminal 3, reported that Dubai Customs handled over 16 million bags on more than 65,000 arriving flights at DXB Terminal 3 in the first nine months of the year.
