Bahraini Art Takes Center Stage in New York Exhibition – “The Sea of Life: Modern and Contemporary Art
An upcoming art exhibition in New York, titled “The Sea of Life: Modern and Contemporary Art from The Kingdom of Bahrain,” will showcase the works of 14 Bahraini artists. The exhibition, scheduled to run from November 29 to March 30, is a collaborative effort by the National Council for Arts (NCA), the Bahraini Embassy to the US, the Middle East Institute (MEI), and the Rashid Al Khalifa Art Foundation. The event aims to promote Bahrain’s artistic heritage and creativity on the international stage.
The art exhibition in New York will feature the works of 14 Bahraini artists, providing a platform to showcase their talent and creativity. His Highness Shaikh Turki bin Rashid Al Khalifa, NCA Deputy Chairman, commended the directives of Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, NCA Chairman, in supporting artistic initiatives and fostering awareness of their societal significance.
The collaborative effort between NCA, the Bahraini Embassy, MEI, and the Rashid Al Khalifa Art Foundation underscores the commitment to showcasing Bahrain’s cultural and artistic contributions internationally. The Middle East Institute expressed gratitude for the coordination and emphasized the exhibition’s role in strengthening Bahrain-US cultural cooperation.The 14 participating Bahraini artists include Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Marwa Al Khalifa, Mohammed Al Mahdi, Mariam Al Noaimi, Jaffar Al Oraibi, Abdulkarim Al Arrayed, Mashael Al Saei, Jamal Al Yousif, Nasser Al Yousif, Ibrahim Bou Saad, Balqees Fakhro, Aisha Hafiz, Ghada Khunji, and Abbas Yousif.
