Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has unveiled its groundbreaking on-campus AirFarm, a movable and inflatable farm, heralding a new era of sustainable agricultural innovation in the emirate. This pioneering project leverages cutting-edge technologies like IoT and AI alongside more than 15 advanced solutions, culminating in a self-contained ecosystem for agriculture and food security.

The AirFarm integrates state-of-the-art smart farming techniques, resulting in up to a 30% increase in crop yields and an 80% reduction in labor costs. Moreover, it significantly diminishes resource consumption, including water and fertilizer.

During the inauguration, esteemed officials from the university and its partners explored the AirFarm, witnessing the inaugural harvest and savoring the fresh produce cultivated within the inflatable farm.

This visionary venture is the fruit of ADU’s collaboration with Midbar, a South Korean agri-tech enterprise, and RBK Company, the holding entity of Rashed Bin Khalfan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri.
