Abu Dhabi Police Warns Against Stopping Vehicles in the Middle of the Road Without Valid Reason
The Abu Dhabi Police’s Traffic and Patrols Directorate has issued a warning to drivers, urging them not to stop their vehicles in the middle of the road without a valid reason. Stopping without a valid reason is considered an offense and is punishable by a Dh1,000 fine and six black points. The directorate emphasized that drivers involved in minor traffic incidents, vehicle breakdowns, or tire blowouts should safely move their vehicles off the road to the nearest secure location. In case of issues, motorists are encouraged to contact the Command and Control Centre of Abu Dhabi Police for assistance. This measure is aimed at ensuring road safety, smooth traffic flow, and preventing road obstructions. The directorate utilizes precise systems for accident assessment and determining responsibility, even if the vehicles involved are moved to the side.
