Kuwait, Jan. 23 – Two Kuwait drivers from Tamil Nadu die of suffocation from smoke while trying to stay warm by lighting a fire in Kuwait
Drivers:
Mohammad Junaidu (45), a resident of Mangalampettai Keezhavithi in Cuddalore district, was working as a driver in Kuwait. His wife is Rashiya Begum. They have two daughters, Hajira Begum (19) and Asima (15).
In this situation, Mohammed Junaidu returned to his hometown on leave last August for the wedding of his eldest daughter and went back to Kuwait to work last November.
Similarly, Mohammed Yasin (30), a resident of Andakulathar Street in Mangalampet, was also working as a driver in Kuwait. He has a wife named Mumtaz Banu and a son named Mohammed Shaban.
They lit a fire and cooled off:
In this situation, 4 people, namely Mohammed Junaidu, Mohammed Yasin, Kaus Padsha from Tiruvannamalai and a youth from Uttar Pradesh, went to the desert area of Kuwait for work. Later, they stayed in a temporary accommodation there on the 18th. They faced great difficulty due to the extreme cold at that time.
Subsequently, they used a stove to warm themselves by lighting a fire in the temporary accommodation room. It is said that since the room was completely closed, the smoke could not escape.

Furthermore, since it was a desert area, it seems that the oxygen level was also very low. Meanwhile, 3 people, namely Mohammed Junaidu, Mohammed Yasin and the youth from Uttar Pradesh, died tragically on the spot due to suffocation due to the heavy smoke.
Kaus Padsha fortunately escaped. The families of Mohammed Junaidu and Mohammed Yasin, who came to know about this, cried and cried. Since they belong to a very poor family, it is said that they do not have enough facilities to bring the bodies of the deceased from Kuwait to Mangalampet.
Government should help:
