Redwood Tech Invests in Indian Game Streaming Platform Loco, Boosting Global Expansion

UAE-based technology investment firm Redwood Tech has invested significant capital in Indian game streaming platform Loco, fueling the platform’s global expansion efforts. As part of the transaction, existing investors will be given an exit facility.

As part of this launch, Loco will announce new partnerships with major gaming companies, esports athletes and streamers to help deliver better gaming content to its users. The platform has previously partnered with major publishers such as Krafton, Activision, Ubisoft and Riot Games, as well as expanding these relationships to new markets with global giants such as the NBA and FIFAe.

Loco Co-Founders Anirudh Pandita and Ashwin Suresh said, “This investment is a recognition of the tremendous work our team has done over the past few years.We’re excited to develop a platform that will be in the epicenter of this global cultural movement, of which gaming is an essential component. We want to place the fan at the heart of this experience because live streaming allows for genuine interaction in a way that no other media can match.”

Loco BGMI has created communities in games as diverse as Free Fire, Call of Duty Mobile, Clash of Clans, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and Valorant. This investment will enable the platform to enter several new markets within the next 12 months.
