UAE visa applications likely to be rejected
Tourism experts highlight streamlined visa approvals boosting visitor numbers

Dubai: Tourism experts say that the number of visitors to Dubai will increase by up to 25 percent during the Dubai Shopping Festival. In previous years, the number of visitors applying for visitor visas was higher during the DSF, according to industry insiders.
Statistics indicate that the approval rate of visitor visas increased by 5-6 percent in the last quarter of 2024. Officials have asked visitors to the UAE to carry a return flight ticket, proof of residence and a fixed amount.
Many visa applications were rejected due to insufficient legal documentation.
The majority of the denied visas were for South Asian visitors. As a result, the authorities and travel firms have reported that the awareness campaign they conducted has been successful and that the number of visitor visas granted has decreased.
Travel and tourism leaders have said that if you are staying with relatives, you should provide an Emirates ID card and a residence agreement. Industry insiders say that visa applications will not be rejected without reason.
In the first 11 months of 2024, 16.79 million tourists arrived in Dubai. This is a 9 percent increase over 2023. 20 percent of the total number of visitors came from Western European countries. Asian countries came in second place. The number of tourists from Asian countries accounted for 17 percent.
