Maryam Karim Claims Gold in 400m at Arab Junior Athletics Championship

UAE national team runner Maryam Karim won gold in the 400m final at the Arab Junior Athletics Championship for Under-18 Athletes in Saudi Arabia.

Karim’s best performance ended in 55.09 seconds, followed by his fastest qualifying performance of 57.71 seconds.

After Salem Al-Maqbali’s silver in the shot put, the UAE has placed second on the podium twice in the championships with the gold medal.

Major General Dr. Mohammed Al Mur Karim, the president of the Athletics Federation, praised the accomplishment and said it was evidence of the federation’s strategic efforts to support young athletes and get them ready for competition on a global scale.
