UAE and Lebanon Strengthen Ties as Presidents Discuss Cooperation Following Travel Ban Lift
Abu Dhabi [UAE], May 5 – UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, during which the leaders discussed bilateral ties and recent diplomatic developments between the two nations.
President Aoun conveyed his deep appreciation to the UAE for its recent decision to lift the travel ban on Emirati citizens visiting Lebanon, which is set to take effect from May 7, 2025. He described the action as a step in the right direction toward building closer ties and said it reflected the UAE’s longtime and sincere support for the Lebanese people.
Both leaders took advantage of the occasion to restate the UAE and Lebanon’s longstanding fraternal connections. In order to serve the interests of both countries, they also looked into ways to strengthen collaboration in areas including trade, investment, tourism, and humanitarian endeavors.
A common dedication to bolstering regional alliances and advancing peace and prosperity for their respective populations was evident throughout the discussion.
