UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Attends 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan
Kazan, 23 October, 2024– President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today attended the 16th BRICS Summit, inaugurated by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in the Russian capital, Kazan.
This means that the United Arab Emirates will participate in the summit as a full member of the BRICS organization.
This year’s summit, chaired by Russia, is being held under the theme “Strengthening Diversity for Equitable Global Development and Security”. It brings together BRICS heads of state and heads of government and representatives of invited countries and various international organizations.
Earlier, His Highness arrived at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, the venue for the summit. He joined the other leaders for the official team photo.
His Highness was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Saeed Al Nahyan; HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser on Special Affairs of the Presidential Court and several ministers and senior officials.
