UAE President Holds Meeting with Pakistan’s Prime Minister

Leaders Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Enhancing Economic Cooperation in Rahim Yar Khan

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Meets Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met today with His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The prime minister and the prime minister of Pakistan met in Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan, to discuss ways to improve relations that benefit both countries’ interests and the aspirations of their respective populations for sustainable economic growth and prosperity. They also talked about opportunities for cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan, specifically in the areas of economics, trade, development, and other areas.

This resulted from the strong historical bonds between the two nations and their mutual desire to strengthen them.

Throughout the conversation, the two parties also covered a wide range of regional and international issues.

For his part, His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized how proud he is of the close friendship between his nation and the United Arab Emirates. He also thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the UAE’s ongoing assistance to Pakistan, particularly in the development sector. and the noteworthy initiatives taken by the UAE in this area.

He stressed the keenness of the two countries to strengthen their relations and enhance bilateral cooperation in all economic, investment and development sectors to benefit their peoples, and to achieve and contribute to mutual interests.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; and Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan.
