UAE President Invites World Leaders to Abu Dhabi for Sustainability Discussions
The president of the United Arab Emirates has invited world leaders and professionals to Abu Dhabi to discuss sustainability issues, broaden the conversation, and step up efforts to find answers in order to build a more sustainable future for coming generations.
During the official opening ceremony at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of sustainability as part of the country’s policies. The United Arab Emirates is dedicated to leveraging its assets and expertise to advance global social and economic development that is sustainable.
He underlined that sustainability is a key part of the UAE’s policies, as it continues its unwavering efforts to use its resources and experience to support global sustainable economic and social development.
Sheikh Mohammed underlined that ADSW is an example of the UAE’s commitment to adopting and developing cutting-edge technology, broadening the country’s approach to transforming energy systems, and promoting social and economic progress.
By leveraging its diverse expertise, capabilities and resources, the UAE aims to support global energy goals, solve problems and ensure sustainable energy supplies that enhance energy security and promote sustainability and well-being for communities around the world.
The opening ceremony began with the UAE national anthem and included a film highlighting the importance of combining advanced technology, particularly artificial intelligence, with the energy sector and human understanding to promote innovation and a sustainable future.
His Excellency the President, Heads of State, and other special guests were warmly welcomed by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, who gave the opening remarks. He praised the UAE’s leadership for their unwavering support in making ADSW a leading international forum for sustainable development advancement.
