UAE Leaders Urge Unity Across Sectors to Safeguard Peace
Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi urges collaboration across politics, religion, business, and civil society at Global Justice, Love, and Peace Summit

UAE Parliamentarian Calls for Global Unity to Promote Peace at Dubai Summit
Dubai, April 13 – In a world increasingly marked by division and uncertainty, the need for unity among leaders from politics, business, religion, and civil society has never been more critical, said UAE Parliamentarian Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi during the opening of the Global Justice, Love, and Peace Summit in Dubai.
Speaking on April 12 at the two-day summit, Al Nuaimi, who chairs the Defense Affairs Committee of the UAE Federal National Council, called for a collective global shift toward peace-building, especially for the sake of future generations.
“The post-World War II order no longer exists. We are entering a new era defined by transition and uncertainty. This is a moment when new narratives are being shaped—some of them designed to divide us. We must counter that with a narrative rooted in unity, peace, and shared human values,” he said.
A wide spectrum of luminaries, including Nobel laureates, legislators, religious leaders, and activists, convened the summit, which was hosted by Huzaifa Khorakiwala, CEO and Executive Director of Indian pharmaceutical giant Wockhardt, to debate ways to address some of the most important issues facing the globe.
Al Nuaimi emphasized that in this evolving environment, it is critical that leaders in industry, politics, religion, and nongovernmental organizations establish collaborations and reaffirm the idea that peace has real benefits for families, communities, and countries.
“The younger generation needs to see peace as a strength—not just an abstract idea. Peace must be positioned as a tool for progress, for inclusion, and for global solidarity,” he said.
Khorakiwala echoed these sentiments, describing the summit as a “call to action” for building more just and inclusive societies. He underscored that injustice and inequality are not permanent—they can be dismantled through human will and united effort.
“Justice is not just about legal systems—it’s about guaranteeing dignity and freedom to every individual regardless of race, religion, or gender. Peace isn’t just the absence of war; it’s the presence of fairness, opportunity, and mutual respect,” Khorakiwala stated.
He noted that peace is fostered not only through international diplomacy but also through action in classrooms, boardrooms, and local communities—where decisions around inclusion and opportunity are made every day.
The summit, which continues through April 13, features participation from global influencers, including peace ambassadors, cultural icons, sports legends, and spiritual leaders. Notably, Baba Ramdev is scheduled to lead a session on yoga, while Sri Sri Ravishankar will share insights via a virtual address.
This event aims to bridge divides and inspire global dialogue on how love, justice, and peace can be the foundation of a resilient and compassionate global order.
