UAE and Jordanian Leaders Discuss Regional Stability Amid Middle East Tensions

Abu Dhabi, Dec 4: United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Jordanian King Abdullah II discussed regional developments over the phone amid tensions in the Middle East, according to local media.

The two leaders exchanged views on Monday on the urgent need to prevent further escalation in the region, stressing efforts to preserve security and stability, Xinhua reported, citing the UAE’s official news agency WAM.

On the basis of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian issue, they demanded heightened efforts to lay out a clear course for achieving a fair, all-encompassing, and sustainable peace.

With an emphasis on encouraging communication and averting confrontation, the call emphasizes the increasing need for coordinated regional and global efforts to solve the escalating issues.

The phone conversation took place amid concerns over the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip and the deteriorating security situation in northern Syria.
