IndiGo, one of India’s prominent low-cost airlines, has announced its forthcoming launch of a new direct flight route between Bengaluru and Abu Dhabi, scheduled to commence operations from August 1. This strategic initiative aims to significantly enhance air connectivity between the vibrant Indian city of Bengaluru and the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
The introduction of this new route, designated as flight 6E 1438 from Bengaluru to Abu Dhabi and flight 6E 1439 from Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru, represents a pivotal expansion in IndiGo’s extensive network. Flight 6E 1438 will depart Bengaluru daily at 9:25 pm, except on Tuesdays, and is scheduled to arrive in Abu Dhabi at 11:30 pm local time. Conversely, flight 6E 1439 will depart from Abu Dhabi daily, excluding Wednesdays, at 12:30 am, reaching Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) at 5:45 am.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, emphasized the significance of this new route, stating, “Bengaluru now becomes the tenth city in our network offering direct connectivity to Abu Dhabi. With the addition of these flights, IndiGo will operate 75 weekly frequencies to Abu Dhabi and over 220 flights weekly to destinations across the UAE.” This expansion underscores IndiGo’s commitment to enhancing travel options and facilitating seamless connections between India and the UAE.
The launch of the Bengaluru-Abu Dhabi route is expected to cater to the growing demand for travel between the two dynamic cities, fostering increased business, leisure, and tourism opportunities. IndiGo aims to capitalize on Abu Dhabi’s strategic location as a gateway for international travelers to explore not only the capital city but also other destinations in the UAE.
Beyond enhancing travel convenience, IndiGo’s new service aims to promote tourism by providing easy access to Bengaluru’s rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks. This move is poised to strengthen economic ties between India and the UAE, facilitating smoother trade relations and bolstering bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The airline’s commitment to providing reliable and affordable air travel solutions is underscored by its focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. IndiGo’s expanded service to Abu Dhabi reflects its strategy to meet the evolving needs of travelers while contributing to the growth and development of India’s aviation sector.
