Colombian First Lady Visits UAE’s Knowledge Exchange Office to Strengthen Cooperation
DUBAI [UAE], February 8: During a visit to the Government Knowledge Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs in Dubai, the First Lady of the Republic of Colombia, Veronica Alcocer Garcia, provided an overview of the initiatives and achievements of the office’s international partnerships.
These initiatives seek to support government modernisation and development, strengthen public administration, and increase institutional capacity.
The Colombian First Lady took part in discussions aimed at fostering strategic cooperation between the governments of the United Arab Emirates and Colombia, with a focus on government information exchange, social development, and humanitarian initiatives.
The UAE government is eager to broaden its areas of cooperation and create new opportunities for meaningful international partnerships with different nations worldwide, according to Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange within the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.
He noted that the Colombian First Lady’s visit to the Knowledge Exchange Office is a testament to the Republic of Colombia’s high priority for fostering fruitful collaboration between the two nations across a range of fields.
Additionally, the Colombian First Lady met with Manal Bin Salem, Director of Government Knowledge Exchange at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, and Manal Omran Taryam, CEO and Board Member of the Noor Dubai Foundation and Director General of the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai.
The talks centred on how the two nations might work together to achieve sustainable projects that enhance people’s quality of life through international development initiatives and government information sharing.
The visit of the Colombian First Lady took place within the framework of the excellent relations between the UAE and Colombia and as part of the two countries’ efforts to expand cooperation in humanitarian and social work that contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
