UAE Announces Reopening of Embassy in Lebanon and Visa Facilitation Mechanism
In a significant move to strengthen bilateral ties, the UAE has announced the reopening of its embassy in Lebanon. Additionally, the establishment of a joint committee has been proposed to streamline the visa issuance process for Lebanese citizens seeking entry to the UAE.
This decision was reached following a high-level meeting between President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati at Qasr Al-Shati in Abu Dhabi. The discussions focused on enhancing fraternal relations between the two nations and exploring avenues for collaboration in various sectors, including economic development.
President Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s steadfast commitment to Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He emphasized the UAE’s unwavering support for the Lebanese people and expressed a dedication to measures that preserve Lebanon’s security, stability, and national unity, ultimately serving the best interests of its citizens.
