UAE Announces Public Holidays for 53rd National Day Celebration

Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has declared December 2 and 3 as paid public holidays for private sector employees in honor of the UAE’s 53rd National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad.
Regular work schedules will resume on Wednesday, December 4.

The announcement is in line with the UAE Cabinet’s approved calendar of public holidays for 2024, which ensures equality between the public and private sectors and promotes work-life balance and opportunities for family bonding.

As the UAE celebrates its unity and prosperity, MoHRE extends its sincere congratulations to its government, citizens, and inhabitants. The ministry emphasized the significance of this event as a moment to consider the UAE’s outstanding accomplishments and its goals for the future.

Holidays in the Federal Sector
A similar two-day holiday for federal employees was previously confirmed by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, allowing a long weekend to commemorate National Day.

In keeping with the spirit of unity that characterizes the country, this national holiday offers residents and citizens a chance to unite in celebration of the UAE’s history, culture, and landmarks.
