UAE Outlines Key Guidelines for a Safe 53rd National Day – Eid Al Etihad Celebration

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have emphasized a number of crucial rules to maintain safety and orderliness for the 53rd National Day celebrations, which will be celebrated on December 2 as Eid Al Etihad. These guidelines were established by the Ministry of Interior with the goal of reducing the possibility of mishaps and disturbances while enabling a joyful and seamless celebration for all locals.

Guidelines for a Safe Celebration

UAE residents are urged to comply with these key rules, which primarily focus on public safety, traffic regulations, and vehicle conduct during the long-awaited holiday weekend. Here are the key points:

  1. No Unauthorized Gatherings: Organizing or participating in random marches or gatherings is strictly prohibited.
  2. Adherence to Traffic Rules: Motorists must follow traffic regulations and comply with the instructions of police officers at all times.
  3. No Party Sprays: Drivers, passengers, and pedestrians are advised to refrain from using party sprays, which can cause distractions.
  4. Visible License Plates: Ensure that both the front and rear license plates of vehicles remain clearly visible. Vehicles must not alter their color or tint windows.
  5. Authorized Vehicle Decorations Only: Stickers or logos on vehicles are allowed only if they comply with official Eid Al Etihad guidelines.
  6. Passenger Limit: Vehicles should not exceed the authorized number of passengers. No one should exit vehicles through the windows or sunroof.
  7. No Unlawful Vehicle Modifications: Unauthorized vehicle modifications that cause noise or obstruct vision are prohibited.
  8. Avoid Obstructing Traffic: Do not block roads or prevent emergency vehicles from passing. Stunts or reckless driving on internal or external roads should be avoided.
  9. No Stunts: Performing dangerous stunts on any roadways is strictly forbidden.
  10. Clear Windows: Vehicle windows must remain free of stickers or sunshades that could obstruct visibility.
  11. Eid-specific Scarf: Only scarves specifically designed for Eid Al Etihad celebrations should be worn.
  12. Only UAE Flags Allowed: Raise only the UAE national flag; foreign flags are not permitted.
  13. Music Volume: Keep the volume of songs and chants at a level that respects the official Eid Al Etihad celebrations.
  14. Approved Decorations Only: Decoration shops and drivers are prohibited from displaying unapproved stickers or flags, especially those unrelated to Eid Al Etihad.

     

    Events for Celebrations Throughout the Emirates

    Residents can take advantage of a variety of events and activities scheduled around the Emirates as long as they follow certain guidelines:

    Six days of festivities will take place in Dubai from November 28 to December 3, including shopping discounts, acrobat shows, live music, fireworks, and a variety of food options.

    On December 1 and 2, all public museums in Sharjah will be free to enter, and festivities will highlight events at the city’s popular tourism and cultural destinations.

    The leaders of the country will join the official Eid Al Etihad celebrations, which will be held in the picturesque surroundings of Al Ain.

    Umm Al Quwain has lined up a 5-day celebration featuring fireworks, parades, magic shows, and more, with events held at the Al Khor Waterfront.

  • Fujairah has also planned a wide array of festivities across multiple locations, ensuring that all residents can participate in the joyous occasion.

The UAE’s National Day (Eid Al Etihad) marks the unification of the Emirates in 1971, and this year’s celebration promises to be filled with pride, joy, and national unity. Authorities urge residents to follow these rules closely to ensure a safe and memorable experience for all.
