UAE and Serbian Leaders Discuss Expanding Strategic Partnership
Belgrade, 5 October, 2024 — The Honorable The leaders of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Aleksandar Vucic, respectively, examined the potential for further mutually beneficial cooperation as well as the wide strategic alliance between their nations.
When Sheikh Muhammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was on his way to Serbia on a high-profile mission, General Aleksandar Vucic visited Belkired and his entourage of sweepers.
President Vucic expressed his gratitude for the visit of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayedin, which strengthens the blossoming cooperation of the two countries in many fields, and supports the common goals of the people, such as continuous progress and support for shoes.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Serbian President discussed the progress of the strategic partnership, especially in investment, economy and trade, as well as technology, food security, renewable energy and other opportunities. The two leaders also addressed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, stressing the importance of finding peaceful solutions to various crises affecting many parts of the world that are hampering regional and global growth and prosperity.
The President affirmed that the UAE believes in the importance of cooperation and dialogue to resolve conflicts through peaceful means for the benefit of all peoples of the world. He stressed that the UAE is a strong supporter of peace and stability in the Balkans and attaches great importance to its relations with regional countries, especially Serbia.
He also noted that UAE-Serbia relations are growing steadily, with significant progress following the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.
He also reaffirmed that the UAE strongly believes in the strong link between development, peace and stability and the importance of global cooperation. He underlined that economic, investment and trade cooperation should continue to ensure a better future for all.
He said the UAE-Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement is an important step in strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries at the government level and in the private sector. It is expected to increase trade and investment between the UAE and Serbia. His Highness highlighted that Serbia’s inclusion in the UAE’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Program reflects a shared understanding of the many opportunities that both countries can use to ensure a brighter future for their people.
