UAE Ambassador to Nepal Highlights Social Unity and Harmony as Pillars of a Strong Society


Kathmandu, March 22: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Nepal, Abdullah Al Shamsi, has stressed the value of social peace and unity in building a resilient and forward-thinking society.
Speaking at a Ramadan Iftar event in Kathmandu on Friday, the ambassador underlined the importance of these ideals for both international cooperation and national development.

While welcoming notable visitors such as Nepal’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Tejulal Chowdhury, Ambassador Shamsi elaborated on the UAE’s long-standing commitment to social cohesion, tolerance and mutual respect. He stressed that the UAE has given high priority to social cohesion since its establishment on December 2, 1971, and that it has been a key factor in the country’s social and economic progress.

Enhancing social cohesion for the future


The Ambassador stressed the importance of fostering social cohesion in the coming decades, in order to achieve the lofty goals set out in the UAE’s Centenary Vision for 2071.
Positioning the UAE as a global leader in innovation, sustainable development, and social well-being is the goal of this long-term plan.

He further explained that the UAE has launched various initiatives across economic, educational, and political sectors to strengthen national solidarity and extend its influence on the global stage. The country aims to establish cooperative relations with the global community by promoting inclusiveness and intercultural understanding.

The contribution of society to prosperity


Ambassador Shamsi underlined that cooperative social, cultural and economic efforts can successfully address issues and promote prosperity in an integrated society.
He encouraged societies to cooperate in order to advance peace and mutual progress.
