Falaj Al Mulla Sees Minor Quake at 4km Depth, No Tremors Felt in UAE

2.2 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded in Umm Al Quwain
Abu Dhabi: An earthquake measuring 2.2 on the Richter scale struck the Falaj Al Mulla area in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday.
In a post on X, the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE said the quake struck at 5:51pm UAE time at a depth of 4km.
The quake was not felt in the area.
Such small earthquakes are relatively rare in the UAE.
NCM experts continue to monitor seismic activity in the region as part of their ongoing efforts to analyse and forecast seismic events.
