UAE Delivers 700 Tons of Aid to Support Somalia Flood Victims

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has provided 700 tons of emergency food supplies to the victims of floods that have struck numerous sections of Somalia as part of its continuous humanitarian efforts to aid nations afflicted by natural catastrophes.

In order to improve humanitarian operations and lessen the suffering of the benevolent Somali people, the aid complies with the UAE leadership’s guidelines. In addition to providing emergency aid to towns hit by flooding, the shipments contain necessary food supplies to address the requirements of almost 150,000 members of impacted households.

In this regard, Ahmed Juma Al Rumaidi, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia, affirmed that the aid demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to standing in solidarity with the brotherly Somali people in these difficult circumstances.
