Indian Expat Dies in UAE Car Crash While Returning from Eid Holiday
A 53-year-old Indian expatriate died in a horrific vehicle accident in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on her way home from an Eid holiday.
Sajinabanu C, who died, was from Marikkunnu in Kerala’s Kozhikode district. Her husband and two sons survive her, and they are currently mourning the tragic death of a beloved family member.
According to multiple reports, Sajinabanu had traveled to Al Ain with relatives and friends for an Eid holiday. However, on their return journey to Ajman on Monday, March 31, the vehicle they were traveling in lost control and flipped into a roadside pit. Sajinabanu, who was seated in the back, was ejected from the vehicle when it collided, suffering fatal head injuries. She died on the spot from her injuries, while the other passengers suffered just minor injuries.
Emergency response personnel came quickly on the incident, providing medical care to those injured and taking them to the hospital. Authorities have since initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of the crash.
Sajinabanu’s lifeless remains were returned to India on Wednesday, April 2, for last rites in Kerala. Family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to say their final goodbyes, lamenting the loss of a life stolen too soon.
