Chinatown in Dubai Mall is a significant addition that enriches the cultural diversity and offerings of one of the world’s largest shopping destinations. This dedicated section provides visitors with an immersive experience into Chinese traditions, cuisine, and craftsmanship.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by esteemed dignitaries including UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri and Emaar’s founder Mohamed Alabbar, marked the official opening of Chinatown. The section features a souvenir market where visitors can explore and purchase a curated selection of Chinese handicrafts and artifacts, allowing them to take a piece of China’s rich heritage home.

One of the highlights of Chinatown is the food court, where trained chefs prepare an array of authentic Chinese dishes. From delectable dumplings to sumptuous duck roast and enticing Chinese pastries, food enthusiasts are in for a treat.

In conjunction with the opening of Chinatown, China Week was also inaugurated. This cultural celebration, organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai, offers visitors to Dubai Mall a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in various aspects of Chinese culture. The week-long event features traditional Chinese art displays, captivating dance performances, and interactive cultural workshops, providing an enriching experience for all.

Located on the Ground Floor near the Dubai Ice Rink, Chinatown is not just an expansion of commercial offerings; it serves as a cultural bridge, offering visitors a genuine and immersive experience of China’s vast history and traditions.
