Sharjah Introduces World’s First Commercial AI License with Microsoft Partnership

Sharjah is launching the world’s first commercial artificial intelligence (AI) license in partnership with Microsoft to adapt autonomous systems and economies based on digital data.

The effort, according to Mohammed Juma Al Masharq, CEO of the Sharjah FDI Office, would expedite the investment process and demonstrate the company’s dedication to conducting business in the emirate and creating smart economies.

Al Masharq said the initiative was announced on the first day of the Sharjah Investment Forum and is part of the ambition to make the emirate a top destination for international companies.

He said Sharjah is ranked fifth among the fastest growing cities in attracting foreign direct investment worldwide in 2023.
