Saudi Arabia Declares National Holiday for 93rd National Day Celebration
According to a report by local media, Saudi Arabia has declared a national holiday to commemorate its 93rd National Day. According to the Saudi Gazette, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) of the Kingdom declared that Saturday, September 23, will be a public holiday. Private and nonprofit sector companies will observe the event as a legal holiday.
Every year on September 23, the Kingdom commemorates the merger of the Najd and Hijaz countries by celebrating its national day. The countries united in 1932 to create the Kingdom, which was called after the House of Saud, a dynasty that included the country’s first king, King Abdulaziz Ibn Saudi.
A variety of festivities, customary pursuits, decorations, and flags are used to mark the occasion throughout the Kingdom. With the theme “We dream and we achieve,” the 93rd National Day is celebrated.
