Saudi Arabia Denounces Attack on UAE Ambassador’s Residence in Sudan

RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has condemned the attack on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy in Sudan.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned and condemned the attack on the UAE ambassador’s residence.

The Kingdom rejects these transgressions as well as all types of aggression against diplomats, the Ministry reiterated. In line with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, he underlined the necessity of protecting diplomats and showing respect for diplomatic missions’ properties.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement on Monday that a house in the capital of Sudan, Khartoum, had sustained significant damage.
The ministry stressed the importance of protecting diplomatic buildings and residences of consular staff in accordance with treaties and customs governing diplomatic relations.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs … will submit a letter of protest to the League of Arab States, the African Union and the United Nations against this attack by the Sudanese armed forces, as it represents a flagrant violation of the fundamental principle of the inviolability of diplomatic premises,” the statement said.
