Royal Commission for AlUla Introduces Second Arabian Leopard to Breeding Program

The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has welcomed the arrival of a new Arabian leopard at the Arabian Leopard Breeding Center (ALBC) in Taif, emphasizing its commitment to preserving and protecting this endangered species. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals and aims to enhance genetic diversity within the leopard population, contributing to environmental balance in AlUla. The RCU, as part of its breeding program, may potentially transfer leopard cubs to other centers in the future, fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration in the crucial breeding process. This effort underscores the significance of international cooperation in safeguarding endangered species.
