Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah Witness Downpour, NCM Advises Caution
Residents in the eastern parts of the UAE experienced a refreshing bout of rain on Saturday. The National Centre of Meteorology had earlier forecasted rains for these regions, and true to the prediction, areas like Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah enjoyed the downpour. The NCM issued yellow and orange alerts, urging residents to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities due to the possibility of hazardous weather conditions.
In their updates on social media, the NCM also mentioned the use of cloud seeding to enhance precipitation in specific areas. The Storm Centre shared striking videos of the rain, showcasing the streets of Dibba and Masafi inundated with water as cars navigated through the moderate to heavy showers. While temperatures are anticipated to dip to a low of 21ºC, the maximum is expected to reach 41ºC.
