Qatar Airways Expands Reach in Saudi Arabia with Two New Gateways
Qatar Airways has unveiled ambitious plans to bolster its footprint in Saudi Arabia, introducing two new gateways and reinstating a crucial route. The Doha-based airline is set to operate a robust schedule of over 125 weekly flights to nine cities within the country. The strategic move is expected to offer travelers increased options and flexibility when traversing Saudi Arabia.
Al Ula will be the first city to join the expanded network on October 29, followed by Yanbu on December 6, and Tabuk on December 14. These additions not only cater to the leisure traveler but are also poised to significantly facilitate business travel. By fortifying economic ties and cultural exchanges, Qatar Airways is poised to play a pivotal role in enhancing connectivity between the two nations.
Qatar Airways’ existing network in Saudi Arabia already encompasses key cities such as Jeddah, Riyadh, and Medina. With these new introductions, the airline is signaling its commitment to further deepen its presence in the region.
Flights to Yanbu will be operational on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays as QR 1216 and 1217. Tabuk services will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays as QR 1220/1221. Meanwhile, Al Ula flights are scheduled for Saturdays and Thursdays as QR 1202/1203.
The expansion not only signifies a significant milestone for Qatar Airways but also underscores the airline’s dedication to providing travelers with a comprehensive and convenient network across the Middle East.
