Flynas Expands Flight Network with Seven New Routes from Madinah Base
Saudi Airlines Expands its network
Saudi Arabia’s leading low-cost carrier, flynas, is set to expand its flight network with the addition of seven new routes from its new operations base at Madinah Airport, starting December 1, 2023. This move comes after flynas became the only carrier with four operations bases across the Kingdom.
The expansion includes two domestic routes to Abha and Tabuk, along with five international routes to Dubai, Amman, Baghdad, Istanbul, and Ankara. These new routes will complement the existing four routes from Madinah, bringing the total to 11. Bander Almohanna, CEO and Managing Director of flynas, highlighted the significance of this expansion, aligning with the Pilgrims Experience Program and the National Civil Aviation Strategy.
The airline aims to connect the Kingdom with 250 international destinations and reach 330 million passengers and 100 million tourists annually by 2030. With plans to increase operations and fleet size, flynas is positioning itself as the largest low-cost airline in the Middle East.
This expansion is in line with the growth strategy launched last year and aims to create new job opportunities while increasing Saudization in the aviation industry. Since its launch in 2007, flynas has connected over 70 domestic and international destinations with more than 1,500 weekly flights, serving over 60 million passengers.
The airline is working towards reaching 165 domestic and international destinations, aligning with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative.
