AED2 Billion Initiative to Enhance Security and Public Safety

Mohammed bin Rashid Unveils AED2 Billion Dubai Police Projects for Enhanced Security and Community Wellbeing

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched a series of transformative projects for the Dubai Police, with an estimated budget of AED2 billion. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening security, enhancing public safety, investing in police training, and improving the overall well-being of police officers through housing projects. The announcement was made during a visit to the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf, in the presence of other prominent leaders of Dubai’s ruling family.

Strategic Attention on Safety and Health

The new programs aim to strengthen Dubai’s standing as one of the world’s safest cities. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed stressed the value of innovation in the Dubai Police as part of the endeavors, calling on them to uphold their high standards of excellence while using the most recent technological developments to enhance operational effectiveness and safety.

Projects Overview: Dubai Police Academy and Area 56

The Dubai Police Academy’s expansion is one of the highlights of the launch. The project, which will cover 155 hectares in the Al Ruwayyah 1 area, will be able to accommodate 2,500 cadets. The academy will include residential facilities, classrooms, training fields, and even a sports complex. The development will cost AED1 billion and is set to be completed by 2027.

Another important project is “Area 56,” which will function as a Unified Center for Data Analysis and Crime Prevention Systems. With an AED 300 million budget, the center will use AI and data analysis to improve traffic safety, crime prevention, and counter-narcotics initiatives through predictive policing.

Targeted Investment in Smart Infrastructure and Police Housing

Another important part of these projects is the housing project for Dubai Police officers. The second phase of the Dubai Police Housing project in Umm Al Daman is anticipated to be completed by 2026 with a budget of AED 300 million. In addition to residential flats, the project will include retail establishments, sports complexes, green areas, and other community facilities.

Technology and Innovation: Smart Police Stations

The expansion of the Bur Dubai Police Station will incorporate a Smart Police Station (SPS) as well as enhanced facilities for investigation, traffic registration, and criminal registration. The AED90.9 million expansion will also feature a call center and anti-narcotics enforcement units. Another creative proposal is the construction of a floating smart police station at The World Islands, which will serve boat and yacht enthusiasts as well as those who enjoy water sports and run around the clock without the need for human intervention.

Contemporary Forensic Infrastructure

Modern scientific skills in biomedicine, forensic dentistry, and virtual anatomy will be introduced via the Forensic Medicine Building. It will include vital services including a mortuary facility and medical data analysis tools, and it will be open 24/7.

An all-encompassing strategy for police and community development

The Dubai Police hope that these all-encompassing programs would not only improve security but also create a positive atmosphere for police by offering them cutting-edge housing, training, and wellness programs. Dubai’s reputation as a center for innovation, safety, and sustainable growth is anticipated to be further enhanced by these initiatives, making it a prime location for both economic and tourism growth.
