According to an International Data Corporation (IDC) study published at GITEX Global 2024, Microsoft and its partners, along with customers using cloud technologies, are set to generate $74.4bn in new revenue for the UAE economy over the next four years.

Titled “Microsoft Cloud Dividend Snapshot” for the UAE, it was sponsored by Microsoft and the technology company Cloud Services, together with its partner ecosystem, plays a key role in developing, innovating and creating the digital economy of the UAE. jobs.

The study emphasized Microsoft’s commitment to fostering local businesses and supporting the UAE’s aspirations to become a global technology hub.

Over the next four years, Microsoft and its partner ecosystem will spend approximately $5.1bn in the UAE’s data center regions for services and products in local economies.

This investment will drive growth for companies, especially those looking to harness the power of cloud and AI to stay competitive in today’s increasingly digital landscape.

The IDC snapshot also revealed that Microsoft’s partners will reap significant economic benefits by 2025, with $6.29 in revenue growth for every dollar Microsoft generates through its UAE cloud locations.

In addition to economic growth, Microsoft Cloud will contribute to job creation, with an estimated 152,530 new jobs added to the UAE economy over the next four years.

These jobs will be created both within Microsoft and indirectly through its partner ecosystem and customers using the cloud.

The Microsoft ecosystem was responsible for adding more than 41,800 new skilled IT jobs to the UAE economy during the same period, further reinforcing the nation’s transformation from a consumer of technology to a true center of innovation. and exported worldwide.
