The King Salman Stadium, an ambitious project set to become one of the largest sports arenas in the world, is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2029. Additionally, the stadium will be equipped with indoor screens, indoor gardens, and a rooftop walking track, designed to enhance the overall spectator experience and provide a modern, inviting environment.

In addition to the main stadium, the surrounding sports complex will cover more than 360,000 square meters. This area will include two training fields, fan zones, a closed sports hall, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, an athletics track, and outdoor courts for sports such as volleyball, basketball, and padel tennis. These facilities are designed to support a wide range of athletic activities and provide comprehensive training and recreational options.

Connectivity and Infrastructure

The sports facilities will be interconnected by a 9-kilometer-long sports track that encircles King Abdulaziz Park. This infrastructure will facilitate easy access and movement between various components of the sports complex, ensuring a seamless experience for athletes and visitors alike.
