KEC International Secures Major Orders in Middle East and US Worth ₹10.8 Billion

India-based global infrastructure EPC company KEC International has announced that it has bagged major orders from key Middle East countries and the US.

RPG group company KEC said its transmission and distribution (T&D) arm has closed contracts worth Rs10.8 billion ($119.2 million) and cable businesses have received new orders worth Rs. 1,079 crores in Transmission and Distribution (T&D) and Cables businesses:

On the T&D wins, KEC said orders have been picked up from India, the Middle East and the US. These include 765 kV/ 400 kV transmission lines of a reputed private developer in India and 230/132 kV transmission lines in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

KEC, the flagship company of RPG Group, one of India’s fastest growing business groups, said its cables business has bagged distribution orders in India and abroad.

In addition to supplying towers, hardware and poles in the US, the company also won a major contract to upgrade an existing 400 kV transmission line in the UAE.

Commenting on the big win, MD & CEO Vimal Kejriwal said KEC International is happy with the steady flow of orders, especially in its T&D business.

“This valuable Indian T&T order from a private developer has enhanced our presence in the India T&T market and further diversified our customer base. Significant orders in Saudi Arabia, Oman and UAE have significantly expanded our international T&T order book in the Middle East. With these orders, our YTD order intake 8.7 billion, thus representing an impressive growth of ~60% over last year,” he added.

A global infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) major, KEC has a presence in the verticals of power transmission and distribution, civil, railways, urban infrastructure, renewables, oil and gas, pipelines and cables.

The company is currently executing infrastructure projects in 30+ countries and has a footprint in 110+ countries (including supply of EPC, towers and cables).
