Joyous Arrival: Palestinian Couple Welcomes Baby Girl “Emarat” on UAE Union Day
In a heartening celebration coinciding with the UAE Union Day, a Palestinian couple in Abu Dhabi welcomed the birth of their baby girl at the stroke of midnight. Ashraf Khedr and Lmais Mohammed, Palestinian expatriates, celebrated the arrival of their fourth child at 12:01 am at Burjeel Royal Hospital in Al Ain.
The proud parents named their newborn daughter “Emarat” in a touching tribute to the United Arab Emirates. Expressing their gratitude for the safe delivery, Ashraf Khedr shared their joy, saying, “Thank God for the safety of my wife and my daughter Emarat. We are incredibly happy to welcome our fourth child and have named her ‘Emarat’ on the occasion of UAE National Day.”
This gesture of naming their children holds special significance for the family, as they previously named their second son “Zayed” in honor of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him. The names serve as a heartfelt tribute to the country they call home.
Dr. Mohammad Subhi Al Saad, a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology, delivered the baby girl, who weighed 2.900 kg. The family’s celebration is part of the broader festivities in the UAE as the nation marks its Union Day.
In another beautiful homage to the UAE, an Egyptian couple, Manal Mohamed and Mahmoud Muhareb, also celebrated the birth of their baby boy, named Zayed, exactly at midnight. Weighing 3.810 kg, Zayed is the couple’s fifth child, joining two boys and two girls in their growing family.
As the country gears up for a day of pride and celebration, these newborns symbolize the joyous moments and new beginnings occurring on the auspicious occasion of the UAE Union Day.
