New routes enhance travel access to all five major UAE emirates, spotlighting Fujairah as an emerging tourism and trade hub

IndiGo Launches Daily Direct Flights from Mumbai and Kannur to Fujairah, Boosting India-UAE Connectivity

IndiGo has introduced daily direct flights between Mumbai and Fujairah, making the latter the airline’s 41st foreign destination. This is a major step towards improving international connectivity. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and now Fujairah are the five UAE emirates to which IndiGo now provides direct flights.

The inaugural flight, 6E1509, took off from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on April 12 at 8:10 AM, arriving in Fujairah at 9:30 AM. The return leg, 6E1510, departed Fujairah at 10:30 AM and landed in Mumbai at 2:55 PM.
Regular daily operations commenced the following day, with Flight 6E1501 leaving Mumbai at 1:10 AM and arriving in Fujairah at 2:40 AM. The return flight 6E1502 departs Fujairah at 12:25 AM and reaches Mumbai by 4:50 AM.

Additionally, the inaugural flight from Kannur to Fujairah (Flight 6E1503) departed on Thursday at 8:55 PM, arriving at 11:25 PM. The return trip leaves at 3:40 AM and arrives in Kannur at 9:00 AM, giving South Indian tourists even more access to the UAE.

This debut coincides with Fujairah’s growing popularity as a top adventure and nature travel destination. Indian tourists looking for immersive and one-of-a-kind outdoor experiences will find this to be an exciting time as the emirate gets ready to debut the UAE’s first cross-emirate adventure path alongside Ras Al Khaimah.

IndiGo has meticulously planned these flights to coincide with regional bus transit networks, guaranteeing customers a seamless and effective journey across the United Arab Emirates, whether they are touring the busy streets of Dubai, the historical landmarks of Sharjah, or the tranquil surroundings of Fujairah.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed enthusiasm about the new routes, saying:
“We are pleased to commence daily direct operations between Mumbai and Kannur to Fujairah — UAE’s hidden gem known for its natural charm and rising economic prominence.
We are expanding our worldwide reach and providing travelers with dependable, reasonably priced, and smooth travel experiences with more than 280 weekly flights linking 20 Indian cities to the United Arab Emirates.

The only emirate on the UAE’s eastern coast, Fujairah, is well-known for its beautiful beaches, untamed mountains, and rich cultural heritage. IndiGo’s overall plan to reach high-potential markets and strengthen regional commerce and tourist ties includes this new route.
