Indian Woman in UAE Granted Review, Execution Not Imminent

New Delhi: A review appeal has been submitted in the case of an Indian lady who was given a death sentence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and her execution will not take place right away, according to persons acquainted with the situation on Monday.

Shehzadi, a 33-year-old woman from the Banda area of Uttar Pradesh, is expected to be hanged shortly, according to certain media outlets. The reports were based on statements the woman allegedly made on Sunday when speaking with her relatives.

The individuals, who spoke on condition of anonymity, denied reports that Shehzadi, who is presently incarcerated in the United Arab Emirates, would be put to death within the next day.

According to a person, “the Indian embassy has verified this from the UAE authorities.”

“The case is being considered after a review petition was submitted in her case. He stated that the embassy is keeping a close eye on the matter.

Shabir Khan, Shehzadi’s father, informed the media that in 2021, a man from Agra named Uzair, whom he met online, enticed his daughter to the United Arab Emirates. According to Khan, Uzair allegedly sold Shehzadi to a few of his family members.

Shehzadi was accused of causing the child’s death by his negligence while he was caring for the couple’s child, who passed away unexpectedly. Shehzadi was later taken into custody and given a death sentence, according to Khan.
