Hardik Pandya Sends Support to Team India Despite World Cup Setback

Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya expressed his heartfelt sentiments after missing out on the remainder of India’s Cricket World Cup campaign. In a message on his official social media account, the 30-year-old player conveyed his disappointment at not being able to continue in the tournament but assured fans that he would wholeheartedly support the team from the sidelines. Pandya emphasized the special bond within the ‘Men in Blue’ squad and expressed confidence that every player would bring pride to India in this World Cup.

Pandya’s absence in the upcoming matches was confirmed after he sustained an ankle injury during India’s victorious match against Bangladesh. His place in the team will be filled by Prasidh Krishna, a talented fast bowler who was added to the playing group.

India remains undefeated in the ODI World Cup 2023, currently leading the standings with 14 points under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Their next challenge will be against South Africa at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
