H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Approves AED 1 Billion for Housing, Aims to Streamline UAE Housing System

His Highness Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the ruler of Dubai, reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to enhancing its housing system in order to promptly and efficiently satisfy the requirements of its inhabitants.

According to Sheikh Mohammed, almost 1,300 citizens received permissions under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Scheme in January, totaling more than AED 1 billion.

He went on to say that work is being done to resolve all outstanding applications and expand the number of recipients.

Reflecting on the progress in the housing sector, Sheikh Mohammed said, “In the past two years, 13,000 applications have been reviewed and accepted, cutting the waiting period to two months—one of the quickest deadlines in the world.”

He underlined the importance of stable families and the UAE’s continuous advancements in housing services, with the ultimate objective of creating a seamless, integrated system that permits same-day approvals.
