GFH’s Clean Energy Investment Aligns with Focus on Renewable Growth

GFH Financial Group Invests in Invenergy through Blackstone Partnership
Manama – GFH Financial Group B.S.C. (“GFH” or the “Group”) today announced that it has invested in Invenergy, the largest privately held developer, owner and operator of clean energy solutions, through investment vehicles managed by Blackstone’s Infrastructure Group.
With its headquarters located in the United States, Invenergy has 20 years of experience in the responsible development, construction, ownership, and operation of energy storage facilities as well as wind, solar, and natural gas generation projects. With more than 2,600 workers and a highly skilled management team, Invenergy has created more than 200 projects and 33 GW of generating capacity across the Americas, Europe, and Asia to far.
In order to transport power across great distances from its source to its destination, the corporation is also investing in the transmission lines required to link generation and energy storage capacity.
Invergy projects provide dependable, reasonably priced renewable energy to satisfy the quickly increasing demand for electricity. This investment supports industrial megaprojects, the development of artificial intelligence, the US’s 2050 net zero targets, and energy transition trends, all of which align with GFH’s thematic focus.
“We are happy to announce this investment, in line with our focus on market-leading businesses in sectors with strong macro tailwinds,” stated Mr. Hammad Younas, Group Chief Investment Officer of GFH. We are happy to invest in Invergy, the leading renewable energy platform in North America, through Blackstone, the largest alternative investment asset manager in the world with expertise in infrastructure and renewable energy.
According to Mr. Younas, “Invergy has a high-confidence investment theme that aligns with our impact investing strategy.
The current macro environment in the US creates a favorable backdrop for renewable energy investments, while generating stable and recurring cash flows stemming from strong growth in growth momentum and renewable demand.”
