GCC Ministerial Council Addresses Escalation in Gaza Strip, Vows Humanitarian Relief

In an extraordinary session held on Tuesday in Muscat, the 43rd GCC Ministerial Council convened to address the escalating situation in the Gaza Strip. Chaired by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, who currently heads the GCC Ministerial Council, the session was attended by the GCC Secretary General.

The meeting focused on the unfolding events in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the surge in violence and the indiscriminate airstrikes on residential areas in the Gaza Strip. These attacks have resulted in a devastating toll on the civilian population, with thousands reported dead or injured. The council also examined the immediate challenges confronting the region due to the intensifying conflict.

Emphasizing the collective determination of member states, the GCC Ministerial Council pledged to provide crucial humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people. A key priority is to ensure the swift and efficient delivery of aid directly to the affected population in Gaza. The council’s commitment underscores their united efforts to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the crisis.
