UAE’s Fujairah Sends 530 Tonnes of Vital Aid to Lebanon Under ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon’ Relief Initiative
Fujairah [UAE], November 9: The UAE has once again shown its dedication to international humanitarian efforts by sending Lebanon a sizable relief package.
Following the directives of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and with supervision from Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, a major relief effort saw 530 tonnes of essential food supplies sent to Lebanon. Coordinated through the Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs in partnership with the Fujairah Charity Association, this initiative comes under the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” relief campaign.
Background of the ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon’ Campaign
This humanitarian campaign was launched in early October under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with significant backing from prominent UAE figures. The campaign has received crucial support from Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, as well as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. This demonstrates the UAE’s strong commitment to helping those in need around the world. This program aims to alleviate severe food shortages and alleviate suffering as part of the UAE’s historical objective of providing emergency aid to countries in need.
Support for Operations and Community Engagement
Under the direction of Chairman Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, the Fujairah Charity Association organized a remarkable 1,000 volunteers from various community sectors to guarantee efficient operations in the preparation, packaging, and distribution of the relief goods. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani commended the large number of volunteers, emphasizing that the endeavor was a direct reaction to humanitarian orders from UAE leadership and a demonstration of the nation’s ongoing support for impacted populations around the world.

Suhail Rashid Al Qadi, Director of the Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Works, reiterated the UAE’s unwavering solidarity with the Lebanese people, particularly during this challenging period.
