Naila Kiani, a Dubai-based mountaineer, has achieved an extraordinary feat by successfully reaching the summit of Manaslu, standing at an imposing 8,163 meters (26,781 feet) above sea level. This marks her ninth triumphant ascent of an 8,000-meter peak, solidifying her position as the first mountaineer from the UAE to accomplish such a remarkable feat. Naila embarked on her final ascent push at 6 pm on September 20, enduring a grueling 12-hour climb throughout the night before reaching the peak on September 21 at 6:15 am (UAE time). This achievement showcases Naila’s unwavering pursuit of excellence and her dedication to pushing the boundaries of human spirit. She is actively seeking sponsorship support for her next chapter, which involves conquering the final three peaks of her mission starting in April 2024. This exceptional accomplishment was made possible with the support of the Bard Foundation.
