The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is set to hold its 114th Open Auction, featuring 90 special vehicle licensing plates with two, three, four, and five digits. The auction, marking the final one for the year, is scheduled for December 30, with registration for bidders starting on December 25. Notable number plates such as AA30, T64, O48, AA555, X33333, V2222, Y200, and others will be up for bidding.
Bidders can register for the auction through RTA’s website, Dubai Drive app, or at RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Al Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha. Limited seats are available, and pre-registration is recommended for priority access. Interested participants can also register at the bidding hall from 2 pm on the auction day.
The sale of number plates is subject to a 5% VAT, and each bidder must have a traffic file in Dubai. A security cheque of AED 25,000, payable to RTA, is required, along with a non-refundable auction fee of AED 120. Payment can be made online using a credit card or the Dubai Drive app.
