Dubai City Half Marathon 2024: Traffic Delays Expected Around DIFC on Sunday Morning
DUBAI: The Dubai City Half Marathon Mai Dubai 2024 is scheduled for Sunday between 6:00 and 9:30 am, and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a warning that there may be traffic delays at that time.
“To ensure smooth traffic flow, traffic directions on streets and intersections along the racetrack will be coordinated with Dubai Police,” the RTA posted on social media.
Drivers are encouraged to properly plan their trips and account for any potential traffic jams on the roads that run beside the racetrack.
The Plus500 City Half Marathon starts at the Gate Building in the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) and features scenic routes through Downtown Dubai.
Runners will start and finish at the iconic Gate Building, with all race distances following a natural course around the DIFC.
The route will be clearly marked, traffic-free and supported by Dubai Police, Dubai Road Transport Authority and event marshals.
There will be designated crossing points to allow safe passage for motorists while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
